Denmark by the numbers

In our effort to show just how affordable travel can really be, we've kept a detailed spreadsheet of all our expenses.  We only got to spend 3 days in Denmark, and spent a total of $399.24 while there.  During our visit to Denmark, one Danish Krone (DKR) was equal to $0.18 USD.  All amounts listed have been converted to USD.  Keep reading for a breakdown of our expenses:

In Copenhagen we only rode on 2 trains, preferring to walk everywhere else due to the cost. And it was a very easy city to walk in. We traveled a total of 34.50 miles while in Denmark.

$0.00 spent on FLIGHTS
$149.76 spent on FOOD
$190 spent on LODGING
$26.00 spent on TRANSPORTATION
$33.48 spent on MISCELLANEOUS

This means in Denmark we spent an average of $133.08 per day.  Or 66.54 per person per day.

*Please note that the cost of airfare to get to/from Denmark is not included in this breakdown, only airfare spent for in country flights. For a more thorough breakdown of all our expenses over the entire trip, click here.
